Sketch challange

Hi everyone,

Long time since I've been around. I'm still posting over at Simple Aussie Girls though and today I have a sketch challenge up. So pop over and give it a go. Here is the layout I did for the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by (and sticking with me when I'm a very slack blogger!).

A Layout - finally

Hi everyone, I know I'm slack and I know I say that everytime I post! Life is busy and hectic. I'm still posting over at Simple Aussie Girls though. Anyway, I have a layout to share with you based on the sketch over at Simple Aussie Girls (Saturday Sketch One). It was a great sketch and easy to play with! I am also using this layout as one for the class I am doing at Big Picture Classes, Twelve, with Stacey Julian. Its an awesome class although I am struggling with it a bit in terms of time. I'm just happy to be scrapping again though, so I figure whatever I achieve is a great thing! Here is the layout...random bits of info on my daughter Ella. They truly are random thoughts...as something popped into my head I typed it in. I didn't change order around or anything. It was totally as it came to me.

Don't forget, Stampin' Up! is in the middle of Sale-a-Bration. For every $100 spent, you get your choice of a free stamp set, patterned paper or embellishment pack from the Sale-a-Bration Catalogue. Believe me there are some gorgeous things in the catalogue so its worth spending the $100! If you would like to place an order, please email me. I can send orders anywhere in Australia.

Thanks for stopping by!

A layout about me

As promised I am back with a layout. Just stopping by quickly as I've spent most of the day scrapping, so need to go spend some time with the kids!

This layout was inspired by the class I'm doing at the moment, Twelve, with Stacy Julian. I am totally in the space for scrapping and I'm loving it.

This is one of the rare pages I do about myself. I was suprised in the end how much journalling I came up with once I started writing!

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back with more layouts soon, I promise!

I am back!

Although, briefly right now! I've been very slack with my blog and it hasn't at all been a priority, but that is about to change. I'm inspired again and keen to get back in the swing of things. I haven't done a whole lot of scrapping or cardmaking recently, but I'm planning on changing that!

I don't have anything much to share right now, but hopefully in another week I will. I've signed up for a class at Big Picture Classes called Twelve and its run by Stacy Julian. I'm not necessarily into Stacy's graphic style, but I love her philosophy and the aim behind this class is all about storytelling and creating 144 layouts in a year (scary, I know!). Anyway, I'm giving it a go, so hope to have some layouts to show you soon.

Right now though, head over to Simple Aussie Girls and check out the post I've done there  which has some links to some great internet sites for a multitude of different things including printable calendars, art and digital templates.

I'll be back soon I promise with some inspiration and Stampin' Up! News!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Once again...

...life has got in the way of posting on my blog. I have good intentions, but it just hasn't happened lately. I have been posting on the Simple Aussie Girls site, make sure you check out the latest challenge, its a good one!

Anyway, thought I'd stop by and show you what I have been up to. It is Jacob & Ella's 9th birthday in a couple of weeks, so of course we are in party planning mode. We've gone for a combined party this year (we haven't done combined for a few years now) just at a park. As I was a little worried about how I'd keep track of 25 kids, we came up with theme's for each of them. Ella has gone with an aqua theme as its her favourite colour. So all her friends are to wear aqua. Jacob has gone with a footy theme so all his friends are to wear a footy or soccer jersey.

Ella's invitations were obviously done in Aqua seen as that was the theme! With Ella's help we decided to use the new Stampin' Up! bunting stamp set and matching punch. I have been dying to use these and am loving bunting at the moment, so I was very happy that Ella loved it to. I'm really happy with how the invitations came together. They are very simple, but cute!

Jacob's invitations weren't quite so easy to come up with. Stamping on a 9 year old boys inviation is apparently not very cool! So we took a different tact and went with the footy theme. I pulled a picture of the Sharks footy mascot from the internet and made up the invitation in the Sharks colours!

Jacob was very happy with the finished product. I couldn't help myself and added a brad to finish it off!

So I'm busy with party plans and also organising our school fete that is on in a few weeks. So lots happening around here!

As I mentioned, the SAG challenge at the moment is to do a layout that includes a news or current event item. This really made me step outside what I would normally do, but I loved the story behind the layout I came up with. The layout is basic as I did it in a bit of a hurry, but for me, its all about the story! So head over to Simple Aussie Girls and check it out.

Thanks for stopping by, hopefully I'll be back soon. Don't forget the new Stampin' Up! catalogue starts on 1st September. You'll be able to check it out through the links on my blog.

I'm Back!

I've had a busy couple of weeks, so not a lot of time for posting on the blog...sorry!

Last weekend, I went on a scrapping weekend with some friends, run by Remember When. We had an awesome time and I got lots of layouts done. I've shared one of my favourites today on the Simple Aussie Girls Blog so make sure you go check it out. I will share more over the next week or so.

But today I wanted to share a couple of cards I have done for a Workshop I have tomorrow. These are simple cards, but I think they are quite effective.

You can't really see it in the photo, but when the card is closed, there is a different colour strip down one side which you can also see when the card is open.

I'm looking forward to making these with the ladies tomorrow.

Also, just as a bit of a teaser, I have seen the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalogue which will be available on 1st September and it is gorgeous. As I did last year, I will be doing a special series on my blog of my Top 10 favourite products from the new catalogue so stay tuned for details of that. It will probably be mid September that I will do this.

Thanks for stopping by and I promise I will be back tomorrow with another layout.
